Biographical Information

Jessica Cappadona

Ms. Cappadona is a history teacher at a vocational school in central NJ. She joined the Board in June 2014 and brings an educator's perspective to the group. Ms. Cappadona is also the teacher representative at her school and has a good understanding of teacher and student issues within a charter school particularly in an urban setting.

Danielle Downs

Mrs. Downs joined the Board during the 2013-2014 school year. She is a Casework Supervisor at the Division of Child Protection & Permanency in Hudson County. Mrs. Downs previously had a son at the school for over 5 years and decided to stay on the Board due to her passion for this school and its students. Prior to joining the Board, she was the PTO President and has always been active at school activities.

Tonya Keyes

Tonya Keyes is the broker/owner of Keyes & Wiggins Red Door Realty in Jersey City, NJ.  As a parent of a child who graduated from Golden Door, Ms. Keyes continues to welcome the opportunity to have a more collaborative role and chance to engage in the decision making process that will benefit the school as a whole.

Paresh Patel

Paresh Patel is a member of the local community with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Patel has a master of science degree in Telecommunication Management. He is currently employed by the Metro North Railroad in New York City.

Tiehia Schonberger

Tiehia Schonberger is a dedicated educator and child advocate with a focus on needs of all children.  Ms. Schonberger has a Master of Education with specializations in Special Education and Supervision.  She is currently employed by New York City Public Schools as a Preschool Program Evaluator where she manages the assessment and evaluation process for Pre-K programs across the city.
